💜 About Prints Charming Creates
I completely failed at 3D printing the first time I tried it. Gave up entirely. But in March 2025, my coworker convinced me to test Bambu Lab printers for the library. Turned out they actually were beginner-friendly. Eight months later, I have eleven of them running in my studio.
For more than two decades, I’ve worked for the Pioneer Library System, helping people explore technology and creativity—installing business software, managing systems, and supporting our library makerspaces, where anyone can experiment with 3D printers, laser cutters, and other creative tools. Seeing people discover what they could make with a little guidance (and a lot of curiosity) reminded me how much I’ve always loved building and experimenting myself.
I’ve been supporting print jobs and making items from digital designs for more than twenty-five years—a journey that began in my high school library, where I first learned how powerful technology could be for creating and sharing ideas. But that love of making started even earlier. When I was four years old, my Korean aunt taught me how to make my first kite out of paper sacks, rice, sticks, and string—no kit, no cost, just imagination and patience. She taught me how to make my own fun. It showed me that creativity doesn’t come from money or fancy tools; it comes from curiosity and the joy of making something from nothing. That same philosophy still drives everything I do today.
I also draw a lot of inspiration from my dad, who served 27 years in the U.S. Army. I spent years polishing his boots and dress shoes—he was not forgiving about the details. That’s where I learned that if you’re going to make something, make it right. His discipline and standards are woven into every part of my work today.
I’m also a musician at heart. I started playing saxophone in sixth grade and have loved learning instruments ever since. Music education has always been important to me, and it’s one of the reasons I started this business—to combine creativity, design, and sound. I’m now introducing small, 3D-printed ukuleles that are easy to play, fun to use, and affordable enough to make music accessible to anyone. I also found this musical axolotl percussion toy that reminded me how much joy simple instruments can bring. I’m hoping to discover more 3D-printed musical instruments to add to the line as Prints Charming Creates grows.
In March 2025, I bought my first Bambu Lab printer after my trial for work—to prove how much easier they were to use and maintain compared to the models we’d been testing before. I wasn’t expecting it to spark anything more than a technical evaluation. But somewhere between those first test prints and the quiet hum of the machine, I got hooked. What started as a work experiment turned into a hobby, then a full-blown passion.
By June 2025, my small setup had evolved into a full home studio filled with Bambu Lab printers, a Cricut, and inkjet, laser, and sublimation printers—all helping me turn ideas into colorful, tangible creations. A month later, in July 2025, I officially formed Prints Charming Creates LLC, turning what had been a personal project into a full creative venture dedicated to combining technology, artistry, and storytelling.
✨ Where the Name Comes From
The name Prints Charming Creates is a playful nod to my love of Disney. I’m a lifelong fan with an annual pass to Walt Disney World and visit several times a year. It’s my way of blending that sense of magic, optimism, and storytelling with the world of modern making. Each piece I create aims to capture a little of that same wonder you feel when the castle lights up at night.
🧩 What I Make
Through Prints Charming Creates, I produce small-batch, pop-culture-inspired pieces from my home in Oklahoma—including collectible dragons, fandom figurines, keychains, earrings, pet tags, bookish accessories, and musical mini-instruments.
I’ve designed a few original items (like my custom earrings and Labubu accessories) and also work with licensed and adapted designs from independent artists, focusing on build quality, durability, color, and fun to make each piece shine.
I’m half Korean and half Mexican-American, with family who’ve called Texas home for generations. My dad brought the cowboy side—complete with guacamole, tamales, huevos rancheros, and buñuelos—while my everyday comfort foods were Korean: bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, ramen, kalbi, and sweet bean buns. That blend of cultures taught me that creativity and connection come from mixing what you love and sharing it with others.
On my mom’s side, art was everywhere. My family was full of artists and performers, and I grew up watching them paint, sculpt, and create. I found my own rhythm in sculpture and ceramics, where I learned to see shape, texture, and form—and even won a couple of art contests when I was younger. Those lessons still carry into my 3D prints today.
My background in IT keeps me focused on precision and problem-solving, while my roots and artistic upbringing keep me curious and expressive. Prints Charming Creates is where all those worlds meet: innovation, fandom, and heart—one print at a time.
You’ll often find me at Oklahoma craft fairs and markets, meeting other makers and collectors, talking shop about 3D printing, and sharing that spark of creativity that keeps us all making.
